[these appeal to my eclectic sense of style]

I'm loving how much white there is and the print on those antique chairs!!!

Apartment Musings

[sofa]

The idea of decorating my apartment however I please is super exciting!!!

I have so many ideas for decor...

- Make or buy vintage nightstands [craigslist or thrift store]

- Get a small "condo couch," or an awesome, sleek futon [like pictures above!]. Something guaranteed to fit in a small space!

- Paint 3 large watercolors for my bedroom

- Paint a giant acrylic for my livingroom

- Make a Jewelry frame/stand [wire mesh or lace insert]

- "Craft table" and storage....... [i have no idea how/what to use] [for my makeup station]

- Easel for painting [craigslist or thrift store]

:D :D :D :D :D

These are things I am SO willing to save up tons of money for!!! My couch will be my first big furniture purchase. Yummy!

I will be trying to get a one bedroom apartment thats under $500 a month... however I want a good amount of square footage (550 sq ft+), in a nice neighborhood, so I might be spending more like $600..... hmmm..... I wish I was less picky.....

Retro Kitchen

Im not sure what theme I'll do for my right-now-non-existent new kitchen.... maybe retro?

Or if not retro, at least COLORFUL!

The "D-word"

We are seperating. for good. which means the d-word.

i am so sad and dissapointed.

my happiness level went from 25(slightly optimistic about the relationship) to -50 in about 4 hours.

the only thing good about this is that he doesnt hate me. he still cares about me as a friend, at least. which sucks, but I can deal with that better than hatred.....

Wish List

Today is my birthday, so this is my wish list
[1] tons of t-shirts with v-necks and scoop necks in every color
[2] red shoes for my retro romper ♥
[3] a house of my own to decorate!
[4] a studio room where I can draw and paint!
[5] red lipstick that looks good on me!!!!!!!
Have a lovely day!

Room Design Addict!

Save me please!!! I so badly want to paint/decorate a room!
give me a room!!! hahaha
I want my living room to be black, white, grey with quite a bit of lime green accents and a few plum purple accents.

My inspiration:

I love the antique furniture!

I LOVE these colors!

I can't wait to have my own place to decorate as I want.
:)

Mission: Discover My Passion - Phase 1, Deliberating!

Discovering my passion....
aka "finding a purpose in life"

my husband told me I should find a passion for something...
now I am deliberating...

[1] i want to work at a salon, hairstyling and meeting new people

[2] i want to make some decent money at selling Avon - i love their stuff & i want to share that with people!

[3] the idea of blogging really fascinates me, i've just been putting it off because i didn't think that this was a good time in my life to start.
[3 a] but any time is a good time!

[4] i freaking love fashion blogs, but i never felt like my clothes were "good enough" (i work on a very limited budget)
[4 a] but hey, there are people out there who DO want to see the bargain outfits (rather than look at a blog about
a $2,000 purse from Channel and think "I could get an amazing computer with that money!" or "I could use
that for my kids college fund!")

[5] i am DEFINITELY interested in an art class!!! Clay/pottery or Watercolors! those are my favorite mediums!!
[5 a] but those will come later because they are expensive & i am jobless right now.... hopefully not for too much
longer! (I just started avon, so i'm not making a ton of money at it yet)

[6] while i'm not crazy about exercise itself, i am crazy about the end result! i want to keep up with exercising so i can have a smokin' hot bod!
[6 a] i will be walking every day, then do a cardio class mondays, pilates & yoga classes tuesdays and thursdays,
and a zumba dance class on fridays or saturdays

i think this is a good place to start.
i'm willing to try other things along the way, but these are my main goals!

wish me luck!

THE EMBELLISHED T-SHIRT

I have gone through many phases of what style shirt I prefer. I can't stand living in dresses/skirts, so I love to wear a cute top and jeans. My hubby's thinks a t-shirt and jeans are really next-door-girl-sexy-cute (like the pix below), so at least we agree that I don't have to dress up all the time!

I did my hair today...
and here's the basic t-shirt.
so, this is just a close up, but it was from last night...

I do, however, get bored with plain t-shirts, so I've found the perfect solution!

EMBELLISHED SHIRTS ARE A GREAT WAY TO KEEP THINGS CASUAL, BUT STILL BREAK UP THE MONOTONY

ALL THESE SHIRTS KEEP A BASIC SILLOHUETTE, BUT EACH HAS SOMETHING THAT GIVES IT A LITTLE POLISH.

I don't like to wear jewelry/scarves alot, so when I saw this, I fell in love:

Another way to embellish is RUFFLES.
I LOVE RUFFLES! hahaa

This is the back, I love the little keyhole detail...

A close-up (taken last night, hence the icky look of hair and face haha)

A cute date night ensemble! I love how easy it is to style...

And a well placed bit of trim can do wonders for a basic scoop-neck like this...
(sorry for the tag...oops!)

The white brings the eyes up to the face and gives this navy blue shirt a slight nautical feel :)
especially with the two buttons on the bottom! ^

You can dress all these shirts up or down with jeans, skirts, cardigans, vests, necklaces, or pins! Above all, I love the versatility of each item!

Black scarf shirt: Union Bay
All the other shirts: JW, military brand
Skirt: Forever 21
Necklace: JW, military brand

General Update

So the last time I wrote I was still sick. I haven't been writing/doing anything interesting because of 2 things; I was recovering from sickness, and, my hubbby has been in Graffenwohr, GE for training and came home for a "spring break" for 4 days. I was going to do a post about my favorite style of shirts, but Im so irritated right now with everything, especially how my pictures turned out, I decided I'd wait til tomorrow. Then I'll really dress up and I wont have a forced smile on my face.
So, tomorrow I will post about embellished t-shirts. I freakin love t-shirts!!
sorry things have seen uninteresting right now.

New Makeup!!

I just wanted to share my new makeup with everyone! I wanted to do a tutorial, but I'm really sick right now and have hardly any voice right now. :(
I will do that asap!

HERE IS MY FRESHLY SCRUBBED FACE/TWEEZED EYEBROWS:

AND HERE IS ME WITH MY NEWLY ACQUIRED MAKEUP ON!

I have experimented with a lot of different brands of makeup. There isn't any particular brand that I love more than the other, I just love specific products from certain brands.

LIQUID FOUNDATION: Wet'N'Wild Ultimate MAtch SPF 15 Foundation in Ivory
POWDER: Maybeline New York Shine Free Loose powder in Translucent
BLUSH: Maybeline New York Expertwear Blush in Dusty Rose [it goes on very sheer so I use it as a "bronzer"]
Cover Girl Cheekers Blush in Natural Rose
EYESHADOW: Rimmel London Colour Rush Eyeshadow quad in Urban Flower [it consists of a shimmery green, and dark and medium browns and a light champagne pink. I only used the medium brown and champagne colors]
EYELINER: NYC automatic Lip Pencil in Bare Brown [oops! I thought it was an eyeliner the whole time! hahaha]
MASCARA: [b] basic in Brown [European brand]

Because I have heavy lids, I like to keep my eyeshadow light/shimmery. I like a medium color all over the lid, with a lighter color on the brow bone, and have dark lashes with a dark eyeliner. I think this works better with ladies who have deep set eyes. I will post more on that later, when I'm better. :)

GLASSES

I love seeing girls trying on their boyfriend's or hubby's glasses! They look so cute and geek chic.
Unfortunately, my husband's glasses don't look as nice as Keiko Lynns' boyfriend's.

Anyway, I thought I would try Derrick's BCGs on. [military reference - "birth control glasses" ]

seen here:

Normally I wear contacts, but I wanted to show off my new glasses. :)

Burg Rheinstein

Burg Rheinstein is a castle right on the edge of the Rhine river, an hour northwest of Baumholder, Germany. This was the second castle we have ever visited and won't be our last. Before we move, we are going ona 10 day road trip around Germany/Luxembourg/Belgium/France areas. This might seem like a lot of countries in only 10 days, but really its only a few hours drive to each of them. Lucky us.

I also wanted to say why I've chosen a German title for this blog. My great grandma wa German(so, therefore my Grandma was German, but she knew very little German, had no accent, etc,), and Derricks Grandma is German. So we naturally love pretty much all things German (except the food, I don't like the food lol)

Anyway, I thought I'd show you some pictures of the castle :)
